OYO which is the hospitality company has now been aggressively expanding across the globe including China and is now soon going to enter the US market by making it one of the rare Indian consumer-facing startup to expand into the market.
After getting the funding of $1 Billion raised by the SoftBank, it has not stepped on the gas in terms of the expansion on foreign soil. Apart from that, the new market of America, it is also present in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, China, Nepal, and the UK among others.
According to the report which has been revealed by the US-based news platform, reported that the company is testing rooms in Texas.
“We are currently in the early stages of rolling out our first Oyo Townhouses in the States, bringing jobs for the young people and better living solutions for the middle-income population and millennials who are looking for an affordable yet good quality living spaces. We see great opportunity in this market but also appreciate the competitive nature of franchising and uniqueness of the US,” a spokesperson of Oyo said in an emailed statement.
