Here are 5 things about Marvel Avengers 2020 you need to know.
1. No Open-World Feature in Marvel’s Avengers
After watching the trailer reveal, it would have been easy to assume that the game will have an open-world feature. Ultimate Alliance and games alike made us wonder how the same mechanics would feel in such an environment. However, the game will not have an open-world feature, here’s why.
Marvel Avengers need to be at a lot of places in the world in a stipulated time. They don’t stay in one place for extended times. Due to this integral concept, the developers decided not to keep it open-world. In addition, Rose Hunt, senior producer of Marvel’s Avengers, endorsed this.
2. 4 Player Co-op Game-play in Marvel’s Avengers Project
Marvel Avengers will be both a single player and co-op experience. It will give players a blend of cinematic storytelling and epic action. Old school gamers will have their interest piqued. As a matter of fact, a large section of offline gamers still crave for the OG gameplay of couch co-op. Moreover, with current generation graphics, it will be a delight to play with a group of friends.
3. Novel Marvel Avengers Storyline
Since the finale, Avengers : Endgame, people wanted something new to experience. Usually re-releases are shoved down consumers as way to milk the franchise, but not this. Here, we’ll witness a completely new story-line with innovative screenplay. Above all, it will hopefully be a refreshing change from the previous dragged and overused concepts. In addition, we have new voice-overs and original soundtracks too.
“Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.“
4. A Multi-Studio Project
As for the production, it has been confirmed at E3 2019 that this game isn’t a one-man show. Multiple studios have come together to make Marvel’s Avengers game a success story, or game if you will. Accordingly, the involved studios are –
- Crystal Dynamics – Developers of Tomb Raider
- Marvel Games Studios – Involved with everything Marvel
- Eidos Montreal – Creators of Deus Ex
- Cystal North West Studios – New entry
